Doings

I love to read about what other people are up to, so I thought I would share a little of what I am doing.

Sewing!
I am actually sewing! I get very frustrated because I cannot just sit down and do a project start to finish. But reading and seeing all about Kids Clothes Sewing Week last week really inspired me. Only an hour a day. Right now I am working on some Oliver & S Class Picnic shorts that I cut out about oh, maybe 9 months ago or more. I got this fabric when we lived in Massachusetts. A loooong time ago.  I also want to do a super easy fabric related project...my son wants a George and Martha tshirt, so I bought a iron on transfer paper, I just have to find the tshirt we bought to experiment on.

 Kitchen Doings
Yesterday I tried to make some yummy looking Key Lime Pie Popsicles (Smitten Kitchen) but I left out an important ingredient...the condensed milk. So basically they turned out super sour and no one can eat them. SAD!
I also made SK's Fudge Pops (have not yet tasted) and some Root Beer Float Pops...one cherry, some root beer and a scoop of ice cream. Hoping these turned out well. Crossing my fingers. I am going to redeem myself from the failed Key Lime pops by making Raspberry Lemonade Pops today.
Scheduling
I just realized that I can use my new Erin Condren planner! EEEEEEK! I love this planner. I thought it started in August but it started in July. It is so handy, I love the monthly/weekly view and all the room to take notes in the back. Its like having a calendar and notebook all in one. Plus who doesn't love stickers? (If you use the link to order one, I can earn credit, you can get a $10 coupon, and that would be awesome! Thank you)

Uniforms
Contemplating having a uniform of some sort. I will seriously wear the same outfit every Monday if is fabulous enough. Tired of the scrambling and being confused about what to wear. Do you have a "uniform" of sorts?

Waiting For
Our new shipment of Sparkbox Toys.  (That is my referral link, thank you..sign up, share your link with your friends and earn a free month). The kids really enjoyed the toys from the last shipment, and it helped me purge some pretty useless toys we owned. I would rather the kids own less toys and be able to borrow some really awesome toys that I would not otherwise spend the $$ on. Note: Last time I chose toys with lots of little pieces and finding them all was a challenge when it was time to send the box back. This time I chose bigger toys with less small pieces, so I am looking forward to that aspect of the box too.

What is on your radar this week?

  1. It just hit me that we have THREE WEEKS left in summer, so I'm freaking out a little bit. I need to figure out new routines so our first week back at Classical Conversations won't be so overwhelming.
