Little Girl's Room Accessories with Goodwill San Antonio #GoodwillSA

*I was given a $20 Goodwill gift card to purchase items featured in this post*

Benjamin Bunny figurine was $1.99, I also have Appley Dappley but the kids like to "borrow" her so I couldn't find her for the picture. The vintage jewelry box that holds keepsakes was $2.99.
I am so excited to share my partial girl's room reveal with ya'll today! Even my husband is excited...because I actually hung pictures on the wall myself. It is one of the most dreaded tasks in this house, but I am super proud of my work. Lots and lots of items in my home are from Goodwill. Why buy new when you can reuse? Remember, every time you buy something new, you trigger a computer to generate an order to replace that item! Think of all the shipping and packaging involved when we buy new. At Goodwill, the packaging I get is...a plastic bag (that can be reused or recycled). I have no cardboard trash from Goodwill!
Anyway, I love thrifting and my style is a bit vintage/eclectic, as you will see in these pictures. I have a real soft spot for anything hand embroidered or gold. And the books...I cannot say how wonderful it is to be able to add to my children's personal libraries with thrifted books. We find great titles all the time.
Vintage needlework was 99 cents, and the handpainted balloon girl was $1.99. It even has the name and address of the artist on the back. So sweet! They came framed and ready to hang.

One evening I found all 3 of the larger needlepoint items! The large one, which measures about 18x20, was $3.99 and the other 2 Hummel needlepoints were $2.99. They were all professionally framed at Michaels too before I bought them! The four little ones are from my personal childhood posessions, my aunt made them for me.

My favorite part of the room: The Bookshelf!
On the left, a few books from childhood. The gold/porcelain art was from Goodwill, I have had for a while and moved around a few times!

Middle: Nancy Drew from Goodwill (99 cents each), I will only buy the hardcovers and need to keep track of which #'s I lack.  Little House Books also from Goodwill for 99 cents each.
Right: American Girl books, all thrifted from Goodwill.

The pink wooden book "house" was $2.99 at Goodwill. The 3 Angelina Ballerina hardcover books were 99 cents each. My own Barefoot Books on the far left (see large picture with bunny), and all but 3 of the Little Golden Books were thrifted for 99 cents each.

The gold baskets were previous Goodwill purchases that I spray painted gold. The stereo was $12.99 at Goodwill. It plays both cd's and cassettes!

I hope you are inspired to thrift for home decor! The prices are absolutely amazing, hands down. What item in this room do you like the most?
