Weekly Reading Basket Volume 3 #weeklyreadingbasket

Time for another reading basket!

Last week was not so productive for us and I have titles here that were meant to be read last week and we did not get to them. We skipped the Wodney Wat book...once I actually grabbed it to read, I thought it a bit too long and too mature for the kids. As Melissa from Lone Star Signers put it, its "sassy" and I totally agree! We did get off track and read other books last week, we read so many random picks from our bookshelves, sometimes we don't even get to the library books before they are due.

This week I selected less books. We are also working on poetry and Shakespeare this week. I am trying to do a family read aloud book, but its been hard for us to really buckle down and do this consistently.  We bought Not a Stick by Antoinette Portis at the McNay Art Museum (I don't know who their book buyer is but I love their selections!) while we were there this weekend and this book is a HUGE HUGE hit in our house. The kids laugh almost uncontrollably.

I would love to see/read about what's in your book basket this week! Leave a comment, link, instagram post, etc for us to see. Also use the hashtag #weeklyreadingbasket. I can't wait to see!

  1. I really need to get back to the library. And I probably should pay my late fees first. I shared half of my books on IG, but for the life of me cant figure out how to get the link to share it here. I know how, I just cant remember. HAHAHA. Its been a crazy few days. Oh and can I just say, I love Corduroy!!
