Oliver & S Class Picnic Shorts Complete!

Please excuse my side markings, I will be washing those out today
Whoops I see some upside down monkeys

The Oliver & S Class Picnic shorts for Little Miss are complete and I am so excited and in love with this sewing pattern!! (Like Oliver & S patterns, they are quite well written and so easy to follow). The shorts have great detailed touches but did not take a whole lot of time to sew once I got going. I think that tracing the pattern took me longer than actually sewing it, because I drag my feet tracing oh so much. I really like the flat front of the shorts and the elastic in the back waistband.

I sewed up the 18-24 month size and used Michael Miller's sock monkey fabric I bought in Boston 4 years ago. My daughter is petite so this size fits her, but I will be making her a chambray pair (possibly with eyelet accent?) in the 2t size.

Notes:
Next time I will use interfacing on both sides of the front waistband if I am using a lightweight fabric.
I will also take Amanda's advice on the grading of the curves
I will (ahem) pay more attention to fabric with one directional patterns
