Meeting Clare Beaton and News In June #BarefootBooks

*Disclosure: All links are my affiliate links to my Barefoot Books store. Thank you for supporting my business*

Ya'll. Oh. My. Goodness.
I just came back from an absolutely amazing Barefoot Books conference in Concord, Massachusetts. There were so many special moments that I will never, ever forget.
Here I am with Clare Beaton, the amazing illustrator behind my favorite board books! Clare Beaton was very friendly and gracious to everyone she met. Her English accent was delightful and she loves what she does. Her illustrations are created with felt, vintage fabrics and found, thrifted buttons and the like. She literally cuts every single piece out by hand! Then they are sent to be photographed for Barefoot. What an amazing process. Here are some pieces she brought with her:

2 titles that are my faaaves are here:
Secret Seahorse

I Dreamt I Was A Dinosaur (yes that dinosaur has sequins!) and more.

I got to hear our CEO, Nancy Traversy speak with such passion about why this company was started, and why we are so unique. We are not available in the mass market stores, and Barefoot does not sell to Amazon (see article here). As an Ambassador, I want to share these beautiful, diverse books with you that will inspire your family and enrich your children's lives.

I am going to show you some of the great specials that are happening this month, and link you to our Clare Beaton inspired craft!
  • Seaside Summer Sale is officially happening! These titles and more are 20% off.

  • Here is a great summer craft that goes with the Secret Seahorse theme!

  • The June host special has just been announced! All the products above for 60% off when you host a home party.
Whew! Lots of Barefoot fun to be had this month. We are looking forward to a summer of reading, picnics and pool time! Have you ever seen a Clare Beaton book? What did you think?
