Answer Me This: Volume 1

Hello hello! I am two days late linking up with Answer Me This over at Catholic All Year. But still, I am super excited to participate in this linkup. Go check it out.

1. Do you hate happy clappy church music?

 

I don't hate it but I sure love it when we stick to the traditional music! I definitely avoid the "Life Teen" masses because of the happy clappy music. 

2. What is your priority: eating or sleeping?

 

It is verrrry hard for me to choose between the two, especially at this stage in life. I am going to pick sleeping. Yeah. That. Sleep...all night long would be nice. But if I can't sleep all night I need a snack. At night. 

3. What type of milk do you drink in your house?

 

Well, since I am an inconsistent person, we either drink the store brand 2% or the Whole Foods Organic whole milk. Or Promised Land 2%...or whole. No consistency here!

4. What is a book that changed your perspective on something?

 Overdressed: The Shockingly High Cost of Cheap Fashion by Elizabeth L. Cline. After being in both the corporate jewelry and home textiles world, I knew like stuff like this went on, the companies I worked for (for the most part) were very strict about what factories we worked with. But even then, I never thought very hard about what I PERSONALLY was buying and how I can really vote with my dollars. I guess I thought that it was a company's job to make ethical clothing their problem and not mine. This book really made it real for me to be part of the solution.

 

5. Who is your favorite saint?

Since I have not done very much reading on the saints, I will go with Blessed Mother Teresa, since I read Mother Teresa: Come Be My Light. It finally brought into perspective that Saints had real lives and their very real struggles, such as her feeling abandoned in her "dark night of the soul". Her selflessness and dedication were astounding nonetheless.
