Sewing for A Week

I am constantly itching to sew. I have planned, put off, lost track of my projects. I am extremely frustrated about this.
It is actually almost like I am sabotaging myself and not allowing myself to have the pleasure and joy of sewing. Of course, children and home come first....but its like I leave other projects undone on purpose maybe? Does anyone else do this? I don't mean to, but it seems that is what's happening here.
Hrm.
This had to change...and then I saw Maker Mama (she is awesome) tweet about the Kids Clothes Week Challenge, hosted by another blogger, Elise Marley. Tempted to just sit on the sidelines and feel sorry for myself, I finally decided to attempt to keep up. The original challenge is to sew one hour a day, every day for a week! This is the wonderful awesome push I needed.

I have picked out my 3 patterns and have been pulling fabrics from my stash, and getting inspiration from the Mini Boden Catalog. I am going to trace off the patterns ASAP and finalize fabrics.

So....are you in?!

  2. I know exactly how you feel about watching from the sidelines. I wish I could make cute clothes too but only see tutorials on girls clothes and I dont even know where to start on boys fashion. I keep telling myself maybe I will tackle a girls outfit just to make one for one of my many pregnant friends. Good Luck on your challenge!
