Blog Mission

My mission in keeping this blog is to promote literacy, encourage other parents and caregivers to read, create and share joy with their children. I want to share with you what inspires me.

I am not an expert, but I have a huge passion for reading and literacy. I personally know the power of public libraries and books and what wonderful gifts they brought me as a child and continue to give me and my children. There are literacy programs in my community and through the country that support and make a big difference to those who might not otherwise be exposed to books. If we cannot read and help others in our comminities to become literate, where does that put us? Imagine not being able to fill out an application for a job. Imagine not being able to read to your child. Lets STOP the cycle of illiteracy and make a difference together.
